SAMDAT Project

The SAMDAT project addresses the growing demand for a modern, sustainable research data infrastructure for gravity-related datasets. Including quality-assured and well-documented GGMs and other data types (MASCONs, Bouger anomalies, Gravity over ocean), all enriched with metadata. The infrastructure follows the FAIR principles. Funded by the DFG, SAMDAT enhances the ICGEM service in 2 aspects:

  • Scientific and technical expansion via modernising and upgrading the existing database with new and interoperable platforms, additional and reformed research data and metadata,
  • Modernisation of the calculation and visualisation services that the scientific community and society have a great interest on.
